With the end of Henley Royal Regatta a few weeks ago I think it is safe to call the season finished. So how did the club do?

At the Scottish Rowing Championships the crew of Joe Nelson, Michael May, James Lindsay and Adam Hardy coxed by David Allan were winners of the Men's Intermediate 4+.

The same crew would go on to achieve a 2nd place in Open 4+, recovering from an equipment failure in the first 50m to finish runners-up behind the crew ultimately selected to represent Scotland.

There were further impressive performances from the Men's Squad
Men's 8+ (2nd)
Men's 4x (2nd)
Men's 4- (3rd) - (1st Lwt)

Not to be out done the Women's Novice 4x+ finished there last race as novices by winning silver.

A small contingent then competed at the Durham Regatta. After two long days of racing Men's 4+ won both the Corporation Cup (IM2) and the Durham University Challenge Cup(IM3).

Joe, Michael, James, Adam and David ended their season by attempting to achieve qualification for the Henley Royal Regatta. Despite a strong row they finished as the 6th fastest non-qualifiers for the (very competitive) Prince Albert Challenge Cup finishing ahead of Glasgow University a a number of American Universities.

Here's to next season, and hoping the HoRR isn't cancelled again!
