Racing

During the winter season the main focus, like for any rowing club, is head racing. These are time trialled events held over a distance generally between 3-5km.

We attend several races around Scotland and the like of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Inverness through the season depending on the racing schedule. We have also frequented head races on the Tyne and usually send crews down to both Women's and Men's Head of the River in London.

In the summer season racing switches to head to head or multi-lane racing over a shorter distance, usually 2km. We are fortunate enough to have two large regattas on our home course: Strathclyde Park Regatta and the Scottish Rowing Championships. We have also sent crews to BUCS, Durham Regatta and Marlow Regatta with crews having represented the club  at Womens Henley and Henley Royal Regatta in the past few years.
