Heriot Watt Sports Union Blues Awards

Last Saturday saw the 50th anniversary of the Sports Union Blues awards. We had a great night with plenty of awards to go round and a chunk of our alumni also coming along. 

Heather took home a Platinum Volunteer award as well as the Len Burnett trophy in recognition of the time given and dedication to both the Sports Union and the rowing club.

Four of our men (Mike, Joe, Tom and James) took home Blues for their performances through the season, specifically a win at Scottish University Champs in the coxless four.

Sam, Sally, Fiona, Craig and myself all took home volunteering awards recognising the amount of time donated to running this club over the years. 

Running this club is a serious logistical challenge, there are so many people in the club who make it happen, not just those who won awards this week so let me take this opportunity to thank everyone involved.
